Senior Software Engineer –C, C++, UML.
Company design and develop - Communication Systems, Wireless Systems, On-Board Communications,
Air Defence, Information Systems, In-Flight Entertainment, Target Orientated Tracking Systems and Sensors.
Specific Role Requirements - The Senior Software Engineer will have - an awareness of Telecommunications. Design experience, Requirements Management, Understanding of full Development Lifecycle, Experience of UML. Strong C/C++ background. Use of LAMP/Web based development an advantage.
Due to expansion our Client requires a Senior Software Engineer Responsibilities include -
• Managing and motivating a team of Software Engineers to deliver product within the target budget and timescale.
• Managing risks through the identification, quantification and mitigation stages.
• Managing the technical and quality requirements for an allocated product or component
• Supporting brainstorming and review activities to de-risk the design evolution
Qualifications
1. General Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Maths, Physics or equivalent. Pref 1st Class or 2:1, good A’Level grades., Higher quals an advantage.
Experience
1. Good experience required in a relevant engineering area using appropriate technology (refer to Essential and Desirable requirements).
Essential Requirements:

• System Design and Development
• Requirements Management
• Understanding of Full Development Lifecycle
2. Experience in one or more of the following:
• Object Oriented Analysis and Design (preferably UML)
• Real Time Design

• C, C++, Java, HTML, PHP
• Database Design Application
Desirable Requirements:
1. Experience in the following:
• Project Management
• Object Oriented Analysis and Design
• Planning and estimating
2. Familiarity with the following:
• Testing techniques and strategies

3. Experience in the following:
• Hardware Design and COTS selection
